When you are learning an instrument for the first time, you need to engage in learning experiences that will motivate you to continue to practice and become better. One way to do this is by learning to play some of your favorite songs, that although challenging at the beginning, will take you to the next level in your playing and will make your practicing more enjoyable. That is what this class is all about!
We will learn to play 5 popular songs from recent movies: "Under The...Students will enjoy learning 5 of their favorite movie songs using different strumming patterns and a wide variety of chords. They will also learn to sing and play the ukulele at the same time.
I am a professional musician and a State-Certified K-12 Music teacher based in Miami, Florida. I hold a Master’s Degree in Music Education and a Bachelor's in Violin Performance from Florida International University.
I have worked with pre-school and school-aged children for over five years, and have taught group music lessons as well as private music lessons to hundreds of students. I am passionate about passing on the love and knowledge I have for music to all of my students.-Students will need a soprano or tenor ukulele for $30-40. I advise younger students to buy a soprano and older students to buy a tenor. - I will provide the sheet music to all the songs we will learn.
