In this hour-long introductory workshop on reading strategies, students will practice three reading strategies: Connection, Prediction, and Evaluation using a shared text. The strategies not only allow a reader to engage and understand a text but also make reading a lot more enjoyable. Students will learn and practice how to annotate a text using Nearpod's annotation features. They will also be asked questions to help them use reading strategies and think critically about the text.
I have taught English Language Arts for over 18 years in a variety of classroom settings including- public school, private school, and online.
