During private tutoring sessions, I will help students in Kindergarten-5th grade practice and grow in the following areas:
-reading comprehension-main idea & details, WH questions, cause & effect, inferencing etc
-phonics- CVC words, CVCe words, word with vowel teams etc
-writing sentences- capitalization, punctuation, finger spacing etc
-paragraphs or essays- opinion writing, narrative writing, poetry writing, biography etc
-spelling- spelling sight words, spelling using phonics 
-grammar-nouns, pronouns, verbs, conjunctions etc
- math- addition, subtraction, fractions, geometry, multiplication, division  etc

Prior to our first meeting please provide me with details as to concerns, skills/goals you would like us to work on, and any data you have available about your learner's current abilities. If your child has an I.E.P, I can also focus on the I.E.P goals. If you do not send the skills you want your child to work on, we can discuss it during the first class or I can assess your child to see the skills to focus on.  

I strongly believe that we can work together as a team. I can offer guidance to parents/guardians on how to support progress between tutoring if requested.   

I am a veteran teacher with my Masters degree in Education with a focus in Special Education.  I create close bonds with my students and encourage them to always do their best.
