Welcome!
My name is Mrs. Howell, and I am thrilled to embark on this learning journey with you. In our classes, you’ll make new friends, develop important academic skills, and discover how to embrace mistakes as valuable learning opportunities. Best of all, my classes are pet-friendly! Feel free to have your furry friend join in for some cozy learning time.

Teaching Philosophy:
Creating a safe, supportive, and loving learning environment is at the heart of my teaching. I aim to help students feel comfortable expressing themselves and growing as learners. My classes are interactive and engaging, featuring phonics games and collaborative activities that encourage connection and creativity. I specialize in working with students with disabilities, including (but not limited to) Dyslexia, ADHD, Autism, and Apraxia of Speech.

Certified K-5 Teacher
Bachelor’s Degree in Education and Special Education
Reading Endorsement
35-Hour Orton-Gillingham Training (Swift School, Roswell, GA)
7 Years of Teaching Experience

I’m a proud mom of two little ones (2 years old and 5 months old).
I absolutely LOVE reading!
My favorite summer activity is berry picking.
I’ve lived in California, Texas, and now call Georgia home.

I have experience working with families who use the Florida Empowerment Scholarship and am a registered provider through Storybook Horizons.
