In these on-going classes, we will use My First BOB Alphabet books and Pre-Reading Skills books to practice uppercase and lowercase letters of the alphabet, letter sounds, shape recognition, sorting practice, patterns and sequencing. During each week of class, we will read an alphabet book on the first day, and a pre-reading skills book on the second day. Students will learn to identify letters. Students will learn and practice beginning letter sounds. Students will practice short vowel sounds and hard consonants. Students will learn to recognize shapes and patterns.
I have experience working with preschool aged students in daycare settings and day camp settings. I have planned numerous lessons and activities for preschoolers over the years, and love working with this age range! I am happiest working with students in a fun, interactive and encouraging environment.
-Drawing paper -Crayons/markers/colored pencils/pencil for drawing -Playdough -My First BOB Books Pre-Reader Collection NOT required, but helpful for practice at home -Worksheets may be provided by teacher prior to classes or post class depending on the lesson
