This ongoing course focuses on learning the essential social-emotional skills necessary for primary-aged students to be successful in society. Each week will focus on various skills using primary literature as the focus point. I have a master's degree in special education with an emphasis in behavior, and I teach daily social skills in my brick-and-mortar school.

Learners will be provided the week's handouts via email prior to class. They will not be essential for class success, but will be helpful nevertheless.
The intention of these social-emotional skills development classes will not be to elicit reports of personal experiences with mental health from learners and is not therapeutic in nature. In the event that a learner does share any personal mental health details, I will navigate the discussion toward the subject matter of the day.
