This is a private class designed for individualized tutoring for one learner within the Montessori math strands. Learners will need to have on hand their own manipulatives: golden bead material, stamp game, small and large bead frames, fraction materials, geometric cabinet, checkerboard, snake game, charts for addition/subtraction/multiplication/division, and bead stair / decanomial box. Parent will request which specific activities they want stressed, but individual tutoring will "follow...
- Learners will master - addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division facts, - moving from concrete to abstract in the operations of addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division, - linear counting work, - understanding the equivalencies of fractions, - and geometric terminology.
I've taught pre-school and elementary school classes with hands-on math throughout my career. I love interacting with young learners and making sure that their learning is meaningful!
