Beginner - Intermediate 레벨
The tastes and smells we perceive with our noses and tongues are simply caused by the actions of certain molecules on our senses. How does that work? Each aroma is related to a specific natural chemical formula. We will see how food chemists create “synthetic” aromas for these same foods that we love. I have a Master of Life Science with dual concentrations in biology and chemistry and a Bachelor of Science in Professional Chemistry. As an educator with over 30 years of combined teaching and educational experience, I have a passion for science education, which has allowed me to expand my resume by teaching and empowering youth from pre-K through high school students and later on the collegiate level that STEM education is doable, one test tube experiment at a time! I’ve taught High School Chemistry, Physical Science & Earth and Environmental Science. On the Collegiate level, I teach Introductory and General Chemistry and Biology and Anatomy and Physiology.
Your learner will need a pack of toothpicks, colorful or modeling clay. You will need atleast 3-4 different colors. The students will also need a notebook, pencil and calculator.
We will use a copy of the periodic table during this class. I will provide one that you can print before our class session starts.
