After successfully completing this course, learners will be able to: 
-	Evaluate numerical expressions including those with exponent terms
-	Simplify variable expressions
-	Apply The Distributive Property to expand an expression
-	Factor an expanded expression by identifying and pulling out a common factor
-	Solve a 1-step variable equation for an unknown value
-	Solve a 1-step variable inequality for an unknown set of values, and represent the solution graphically
-	Find the perimeter and area of a complex shape
-	Use Pi to find either the circumference, area, diameter, or radius of a circle
-	Find the volume, or a missing dimension, of a right prism
-	Find a missing angle from a given diagram
-	Find measures of center from a set of data (mean, median, mode)
-	Find measures of spread from a set of data (range and mean absolute deviation)

As a public school math teacher and math coach, I have many hours of experience in coaching learners on how to be successful in math. I have helped learners prepare for standardized and classroom testing, as well as provided many hours of private tutoring. Learners will be given the opportunity for enrichment after each class session. Enrichment will not be collected but is provided as extra practice. Parents/Family are encouraged to use the provided Answer Key to check learner progress. Time will be given at the start of each lesson to ask questions about enrichment problems, this time will be limited to the first 5 minutes of class. There will be time for further review and discussion of enrichment and other practice problems during the make-up / help session. Estimated time to complete each enrichment is 20 – 45 minutes, depending on learner’s level of math competency.
