수업 소개
Welcome! Sensory play is a great way to engage your child in learning without them even realizing it! Sensory bins help develop fine and gross motor skills, promote language development, math skills and encourage imaginative play! In this class, we will create a sensory bin using items found at home or at your local store/dollar store. Once we make our bins, we will pair the bins with my pre-made learning mats to learn foundational skills. We will start off with a meet and greet, then we'll put together our bins, discussing the different items that each child has decided to include. We will use the COLOR sorting mat and then use the MATCHING mat. (Visual discrimination and vocabulary development)

We will be making a sensory bin together. Please gather up some materials and have them ready for class! Below are some ideas: BIN OPTIONS: Plastic shoebox bin Storage container Mixing Bowl Glass cooking pan FILLER OPTIONS: Rice Sand Oatmeal Ground up cereal Split peas Chickpeas ADD-IN OPTIONS: Beans Corn kernels Cotton balls Pony beads Pom poms Popsicle sticks Legos Googly eyes Glass beads Stones Small blocks Small animals Army men Letters/numbers Uncooked pasta Pipe cleaner Shoe lace string TOOL OPTIONS: Spoon Measuring spoons Measuring cups Medicine cup Formula scoop Tweezers Small tongs Cup Bowl TEACHER BIN will include: -Small Modular Storage Box Clear - Brightroom™ from Target -colored rice - pom poms - pony beads - pipe cleaner - stones - a cork - a small stick - wooden scoop - palm leaf bowl You can also buy a pre-made bin that includes everything that will be in my teacher bin from my etsy shop and have it delivered to your house in time for class.
