Students will identify the characters and story structure for the story of Sylvester and the Magic Pebble.
Students will create an outline for their own unique Magic Pebble story.
Students will write and edit a draft of their story.
Students will listen to and support other writers in a Publication Celebration.
Students will orally share their Magic Pebble story with confidence and be supported with enthusiasm by their peers.
Students will give kind feedback for the writing, ideas, and stories of other students.

In between classes 5 and 6, once students have learned and practiced their editing skills during class, they will be given the assignment to finish their editing to bring a completed final draft to our last class for a Writer's Celebration. :)

Students will be assessed based on participation, and by their progress in following along with the step-by-step writing process I have created for the class. 
Students are also expected to be kind and supportive of their fellow writers in the class. :)
