This class is part of my Modern Masters Series, in which we learn about artists from the early 19th century to today, analyze their art style and subject, and make a creation inspired by their art. Week 1: We will study who Rousseau was, his contribution to art, and his art style, and begin using the elements of art to practice drawing a colorful rainforest design based on his style. Pencils, eraser, sharpener paper for practice (printer paper is good!) Heavy paper, 9X12 oe 11X14 (Canson watercolor or Bristol Board--can be found at Walmart or Michael's) CHOICE OF THE FOLLOWING (Students may use more than one): crayons oil pastels colored pencils watercolor paints (I recommend Crayola or Prang) brushes and bowl of water for watercolors other media not listed here
