I hold a Bachelor's Degree in the Principles and Methods of Language Education, and I have taught English as a second language to children online since 2014. I also have a TEFL Certificate. I have spoken Spanish fluently for over 17 years. I lived in and traveled around Southern Mexico for 7 years, shoulder to shoulder with the people from various Indigenous roots. I also did volunteer service in the Tzeltal and Zapotec communities located in Chiapas and Oaxaca specifically. I lived in a small town in Veracruz, Mexico, and I also lived in Mexico City for several years. I have personally visited Xochimilco, and taken a tour through the canals on a trajinera. I have also personally explored Palenque several times and trekked through the jungle in Chiapas on several occasions. I have hiked the mountains in Veracruz, climbed the pyramids of Teotihuacán, sailed through Sumidero Canyon and meandered the streets of San Cristobal de las Casas. I have also professionally taught many online classes about Indigenous Mexican cultures.
