This is an ongoing social studies class, geared toward the third grade learner. This course will follow the logical sequence of a 3rd grade social studies curriculum, however, students will work on a single topic each week making it easy to join or leave as caregivers see fit. I am a certified elementary public school teacher (BA in Elementary Education K-6 in NY State) with specific 1st through 4th grade classroom experience. I have been teaching online to children ages 3 to 11yrs of age. I am also a homeschool mom to five children, ranging in age from 5yrs old to 13yrs old!

Worksheets or activities will be given as a follow up to each class. Students are encouraged to complete the given material and show it to the teacher in order to receive feedback and assessment. Learners should come to class each week with a notebook dedicated to "Third Grade Social Studies" which is brought to each class. They should always come prepared with a sharpened pencil and eraser. Additional supplies will be discussed or suggested for classes where hands-on exploration may be appropriate. Coloring utensils are always a welcome addition to their supply list as we try to make our notes colorful and eye catching!
