Impress your friends and get your cookie decorating game on point! In this 5 week flex course we will learn different techniques of royal icing like the basics of flooding cookies, "wet on wet," royal icing transfers,  and marble techniques. This is an ideal class for someone who loves baking and art! We aren't just decorating yummy cookies we are taking our design skills to the next level.

Each week I will post a video on Monday with a complete demonstration of the scheduled icing technique. Once the student has completed the assignment he/she can share a picture of their finished product in the classroom.  Once the pictures are posted from each week's assignment students can comment offering suggestions and encouragement to their fellow students.I will be interacting through the classroom message board and am available through email as needed.I will also give feedback in the classroom and privately through messages. I am here to help you and answer any questions that you may have as you go along. 

There is no experience required but I do suggest watching each video and participating each week as  our skills will build from week to week. 

Week 1: Royal icing: how to make it and how to do a basic flood on a cookie.
Week 2: Wet on wet techniques: how to make flush design patterns in royal icing.
Week 3: Dry layers: how to make natural lines (see pumpkin picture) and add details on top of a dry flooded cookie.
Week 4: Royal icing transfers: using royal icing to make cupcake toppers, cookie embellishments and more!
Week 5: Marble techniques: royal icing dipping and marble techniques
