In this week long class, learners will practice reading decodable books that feature short vowel (CVC) words. Decodable books or texts include words that feature a specific phonics skills or syllable pattern. This allows learners to be able to read most of the words since they have been taught that skill. I am a certified teacher and have been teaching for 19 years. I am a reading specialist and have been trained in a variety of phonics programs including the Orton-Gillingham approach.
