This foundational class, taught by certified teachers, introduces students to essential reading skills in a fun and engaging way. Our curriculum is 100% aligned to a comprehensive, heavily researched,  systematic and explicit phonics-based scope & sequence that is rooted in the Science of Reading. This class is designed to give students a solid foundation in phonological awareness, letter sounds, word building, and decodable reading. Our desire is to SPARK your child’s passion for reading through a variety of activities and games. Students will review the letter sounds over the course of 16 weeks in an order that is optimal to build, write, and read CVC words (see scope and sequence below). We will also work on high frequency words, multisensory learning, and fluency. Students can join the class at any time as we spiral back to review all previously taught concepts each week.  It’s the perfect class for ESL students too!

There is no prerequisite for this class.
