📚In this ongoing class, we will let our love of reading soar with story time! 📚

Every month a featured story will be stretched to focus on a different literacy skill/activity each week. Repeating a story across several classes will also promote and strengthen reading skills such as recall, and help out any students who may join the class after the book has been started.  The structure of the class will remain the same across each week.  Please see below for a sample schedule as well as well as topics being taught! =)

→ Class Books will be listed in the classroom prior to the beginning of the first week of each month.  
→ A reminder will also be sent prior to the week 4 drawing activities.

🍎 Week 1: Introduce the new book and make a prediction.  Identify if the book is fiction/nonfiction.  Read the book and ask comprehension questions.

🍎 Weeks 2-3: Practice a Literacy Skill (see sample list below)

Students have the option to stay in this class once, or to stay with me on a weekly basis!  
*Please note:  If a student joins in after a feature story has been started that is OK!  Stories will be reread several times to make sure everyone feels included and is ready/able to participate successfully!*
