수업 소개

Does your early elementary student love to paint, draw and create? This is the class for them! This course allows students to explore different art mediums and projects in a low-pressure, student-centered environment. Each week students will complete a different art project with step-by-step teacher guidance. Students are encouraged to add their own unique flair to each project through color choices and other project variations.

No previous art experience is required. Students should be able to hold a paint brush, utilize coloring supplies, and operate scissors with or without adult assistance. Younger students or those with learning differences may require adult assistance. Please let me know of any accommodations before class begins.

Years 1 and 2 can be completed in any order.

**This is an ongoing subscription. Payment is charged each Sunday before class meets. If a class isn't scheduled for the week, you will not be charged. If you aren't able to attend a week's session, you can unsubscribe before the weekend to avoid being charged for the upcoming session. It isn't possible to hold your seat without payment for the week. Class recordings are available for students who aren't able to attend the live class.**

Projects are listed by month and will be completed in order. This course runs throughout the year with breaks in Dec./Jan. and late spring through the summer. Projects include drawing, painting, abstract art, paper crafts, and texture exploration.

학사 학위 Bowling Green State University부터
Hello everyone! My name is Sarah and I am a formerly licensed Language Arts teacher based in Ohio who has completed graduate level work in reading intervention. I received my degree from Bowling Green State University with a major in Liberal Studies - focus on English. I am also the mother of three lovely kids who keep me on my toes! I taught for several years in the public school system, but left because I longed for the flexibility and fluidity of true learning. I believe that children should be allowed to express themselves openly while they learn and I love nothing more than an active conversation with my students!

My family is "educationally eclectic." My two older children have attended private and public schools, while my youngest are currently educated at home with me. I appreciate the value and necessity of a myriad of educational approaches and teaching styles.

I teach all areas of Language Arts (Reading, Writing, Speech, Journalism, and Theater) in addition to courses in the Visual Arts. I also have several years of experience working with neurodiverse learners, focusing on access to education. I look forward to meeting all of you very soon!

I am currently unable to respond directly to schedule requests due to the sheer number of them and the finite number of hours in a day. However, I do look at requests when working on my schedule and I try to accommodate as many of them as possible.
