Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was a true child prodigy. He could play tunes on the piano at the age of 3, composed his first piece of music at the age of 5, had his first piece published at the age of 7, and wrote his first opera at the age of 12. Students will learn about the life of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and we will discuss and listen to excerpts of some of his musical creations. We will discuss the time period Mozart lived and learn a few musical vocabulary words pertaining to different genres of music.
I have a degree in Music Performance from Louisiana State University. I am an oboist and play in many ensembles as well as maintaining a private music studio since 1996.
