One-To-One math tutoring for middle and high-school aged students taught by a former math teacher with ten years of classroom experience at the secondary level teaching General Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra and Geometry.  I also hold a master's degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance and Entrepreneurship which gives me a unique perspective of how math is used in the "Real World".  

Each tutoring session will be tailored to your student's individualized needs.  Topics may include: Number Sense, Measurement, Geometry, Data Analysis and Algebra.  These tutoring sessions can be designed for enrichment, homework help or just to review concepts and will be geared to your student's specific learning style.   

Students who struggle with basic math, advanced math or any type of math can improve comprehension and mastery with one-to-one tutoring with a math teacher.  I believe all students can become proficient in math with an understanding of the basic math rules.  I use a variety of methods to help break down fundamental math concepts which may include: direct instruction, kinesthetic learning, differentiated instruction, inquiry-based learning and game-based learning.  

Before each session I will reach out to parents to discuss what their learner needs whether it is a review of past material, homework help or a math concept that needs to be taught and mastered.

Tutoring can be used on an as-needed basis but if you would like to set up a weekly or bi-weekly tutoring session please message me (with your time zone) and some times that work with your schedule.
