We will start off getting to know everyone. I will share my experience as a performer and a director of several dance teams. We will do a warm-up and then learn an across the floor routine as well as a routine to an upbeat song just like a real audition! During class we will also practice doing interview questions. Students will learn what to expect at an audition, how to be prepared, how to stand out during an audition and encouragement if an audition doesn't go your way. The goal for this class is for students to be prepared for the real world and a real dance audition.
I have been teaching for 19 years in several styles of dance for all ages. I have danced professionally including Walt Disney World, The Orlando Magic (NBA) Dance Team, Carnival Cruise Lines and more. I have directed many dance teams and have judged at competitions and professional dance and cheer team auditions. My passion is to help others be their best! I am passionate, caring and fun and look forward to meeting your child!
If the student has a resume and or head-shot they are encouraged to bring it to class or share in the classroom! Make sure the student has enough room to move around and that everything is out of the way and have a bottle water nearby! Bring paper and pencil to take notes during the lesson.
