Handwriting class for 6-10 year old children to work on letter formation and legibility.  

Topics covered will include the three different types of uppercase and lowercase letters, spacing between words and letters, self editing handwritten work and how to maintain a functional grasp and increase activity tolerance.

Classes focus on a developmental approach to learning prewriting and writing. Children will be coached and guided on fun techniques and approaches to practice skills that will help with the complex task of writing. Fun and engaging approach for this age group is critical for practicing these important skills. 

The teacher uses demonstration of the skills, repetitive guided practice of the skills and reflection with students in each session.

Basic course structure:
* The teacher will gather a baseline level from which to work from for each child
* Children may start with warm ups that strengthen muscles in their arms and hands to get ready for writing at each meeting
*Children will be actively participating in handwriting and self editing skills
*Teacher will supply handouts and recommended paper to use in the class to practice handwriting skills
* Recommendations for pens and pencils 
* Practice proper letter and number formation
