Students will develop their reading and writing skills by focusing on short vowels, digraphs and blends to read and spell one-syllable words.
I am a certified elementary and early childhood teacher with my M.Ed in Effective Teaching of Reading and Mild to Moderate Learning Disabilities. This will be my 8th year teaching in a classroom and I am trained in the Orton Gillingham approach through IMSE.
-Printed pages that will be provided each week in the classroom that students will need before class -Red Crayon -Pencil -white board and dry erase marker -Sensory material to write in: a shallow tray or baking pan with a thin layer of salt, colored sand, or sprinkles works well.
