레벨 Beginner - Advanced
In this one time class, students will be learning how to draw and paint a fall scaredy cat with tempera or acrylic paints. Art freedom and fun will be emphasized in a relaxed setting. Lessons will be in a "work with me format" with visual and audio step-by-step instructions to demonstrate how to draw the silhouette of the cat and use expressive brush strokes to build some tension in our scary scene. I will show my finished work at the start of class as an example along with the supplies needed to create it. I will give a demonstration that identifies colors, shapes, subjects and backgrounds. Students will be encouraged to add their creative personal touches to their work. I will encourage students to upload their finished work to the classroom after it dries to share with me and their art friends!

Only use non-toxic, child-safe tempura or acrylic paints.
Supervision may be needed for students who have no experience using paint.
This project will use a cup of water so protect your surfaces and electronics.
Masks are welcome, however, masks should be removed for identification during the first four minutes of class to meet safety and privacy policies.
Please note that costumes will be vetted by the educator to ensure that they met Outschool standards (secular, age-appropriate, etc.). Thank you!

Non-toxic, child-safe Tempura paints (or acrylic paints) in various colors. White paint paper or any thick paper. Copy paper is not recommended. Paint brush -small to medium size. Cup of water to rinse brushes. Pencil for sketching the scene. Paper towel to dry brushes and clean up.

I believe whole heartedly in the Montessori philosophy. I owned Montessori schools for years and I've taught art to thousands of preschool and elementary students in person and online.
Art has always been my happy place where I can be myself, share experiences, and enjoy friends. My art classes will help students practice fine motor skills, follow oral and visual instructions, improve art skills, and express themselves through creativity and social classes.

If there’s another time for the class, I’ll offer a transfer. If there’s a schedule conflict, please msg me for a transfer before class. No refunds for late arrivals. I appreciate your consideration.
