In this 4 week flex class, you will learn to bake 4 British recipes, perfect for celebrating the Jubilee. These recipes are suitable for beginner bakers and all can be adapted to give them your own unique twist! A full list of ingredients and equipment for each week will be provided in the classroom at the beginning of the class. New content will become available on Mondays, with a printable for each recipe, as well as the link to a bake-a-long unlisted video on YouTube. Each week there...
Students will practise weighing and measuring, using scales and measuring spoons. They will learn basic baking techniques, including using equipment safely.
A full list of ingredients and equipment for all weeks will be available in the classroom from the start of the class.
Adult supervision is essential, due to the use of cooking equipment including graters, skewers, knives, a hot oven and a saucepan on the hob or microwave. YouTube will be used as a means for students to view the bake-a-long videos. Links to these videos will be posted in the classroom. Students will not need a YouTube account to access these videos and will not be required to comment on them on the YouTube site. Kahoot will be used to host the weekly quizzes. Students will not need a Kahoot account to play.
