수업 소개

💪Do you want you child to improve their communication and public speaking skills? Give them the opportunity to work one-on-one to improve their skills. 

In this private class on-going course, we will work on improving conversation and public speaking skills.  This 1:1 setting will allow for a safe and comfortable setting to help your child practice their skills. Each week we will focus on different lessons to build their skills overtime. 

Week One: Communication Goals: Learn about the three types of goals for communication and how to use them to your advantage. 

Week Two: Positive Communication: How can compliments and positivity help you to start a conversation? We will use role playing and guessing games to learn about positivity and conversation openers.

Week Three: Effective Voice: We learn about the three P's of an effective voice: projection, pace, and pitch. We also learn about how to avoid vocal fillers, vocal fryer, and other issues that can make you sound less confident and clear.

Week Four: Nonverbal Communication: We learn how we can be sending messages without even knowing it. Your posture, facial expressions, eye contact, and more are telling people around you things that you may not realize, so we practice positive body language to send the right messages.

I am a passionate and engaging educator with over 15 years of experience helping students become confident communicators. As a college professor, I teach communication courses such as Public Speaking, Argumentation, and Interpersonal Communication. I’ve helped countless students overcome speech anxiety by applying scientifically-backed strategies to build confidence and improve performance.

I use the same communication theories that I teach in my college courses to help younger learners develop essential skills, making these concepts both accessible and engaging. By adapting these principles to fit their needs, I empower students to confidently approach challenges like public speaking, interviews, and even the college admissions process. I’ve helped many students ace interviews for college admissions, jobs, and coveted scholarships, providing them with the tools to succeed in high-stakes situations.


With a background in Rhetorical Communication and Gender Studies, I tailor my lessons to address each student’s unique goals, ensuring they gain both the confidence and skills they need to excel in interviews and presentations. As a mom of three, I understand the importance of clear and effective communication and am dedicated to helping every student unlock their potential.
