Through music and movement, our artist educator will take your child on a journey around the world in a fun and engaging way. Class outline: - Introductions and opening circle - From here we will begin our music and creative movement journey around the world, stopping along the way in the Caribbean, Asia, Africa, Europe and South America to explore those styles. - Each stop will incorporate a...
Students will learn creativity and imagination, while practicing self-expression through culturally diverse music and movement activities. They will learn awareness of movement, body positions and musicality. Students will also develop large motor skills, improve balance, coordination and rhythm and strengthen social skills.
Travelling Stage teachers are industry professionals with professional performing arts experience on stages across North America. Our artist educators are certified teachers with extensive experience teaching in schools and studios. Global Dance Party teachers also have extensive early childhood education experience. The Travelling Stage is well established in over 5000 schools and child care centres across Canada.
Learners will need a light weight scarf that they can use for the movement activities. They will also need a music shaker of some kind. This can be a maraca, a shaker egg or any other similar hand-held musical instrument. To make one at home, simply fill a small non-breakable container with beans or rice. Be sure to use a container with a lid, such as a small reusable storage container.
