In this lesson, students will be able to create a cute sloth in a tree with watercolor paint. I will be discussing the elements of art as we paint and teach basic watercolor techniques, hints, and tricks. I will first do a directed drawing of the sloth while students follow along and then we will be painting our sloth. There is so much flexibility with this lesson and learners can get as creative as they would like! Each student learns at their own pace and I do everything that I can to make...
Students will improve their understanding of the watercolor painting technique. They will also improve their understanding of the elements of art, specifically texture, value, and color.
Students will need watercolor paper (or some type of thick paper), watercolor paint, a paintbrush, pencil, eraser, a crayon or sharpie, and a water dish.
