This FLEX class is an asynchronous version of my LIVE class "Fractions, Decimals, Percents... Oh My!" In this FLEX class, students will: -practice multiplication and division facts -multiply and divide with whole numbers and decimals -find the missing number in a set of equivalent fractions -use cross-multiplication to find the missing number in a set of equivalent fractions -convert numbers to different forms (fractions, decimals, percents) -use a percent proportion to solve problems involving percentages
I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics as well as a Master's Degree in Education with a concentration in STEM. I have created and collected a wide variety of resources to help students engage in a fun and comfortable way while building a strong foundation in mathematics. With 20 years of experience teaching in the classroom coupled with 5+ years of experience teaching online to students with varying abilities and needs, I feel extremely qualified to deliver this instruction to learners via Outschool.

Students will have the option of participating in group Quizizz activities and working on activities with a partner. These activities should not take longer than 1 hour to complete. It would be nice for students to have a three-ring binder in order to keep track of assignments and notes each week. I will provide a PDF via Outschool messages that will explain to students what needs to be for the week (objective, discussion question, notes and assessment). A calculator and graph paper would be nice items to have, however, when possible, I will suggest websites that may have the tools that a learner may need (example: online calculators).
