During our one-to-one session, we will focus on a specific area for the learner and/or currently class work. Parent may provide me with the specific area for support through email. Learner may also bring homeworkI can provide material to support that skill or we can work on material the learner may already have. I will incorporate teaching strategies I've learned over the years and apply what best supports the learner. A few of the strategies I use are various mnemonic devices, provide steps in different colors, highlight to emphasize major points and repetition of vocabulary, to name a few. All learners learn differently, and sometimes individualized time can make all the difference. Some of the topics that can be covered are: Area, Perimeter, Adding, Subtracting, Multiplying, Dividing Rational Numbers (fractions, decimals, integers), Combining Like Terms, Solving Equations and Inequalities, Graphing Flexible times are available, feel free to reach out to me and we can see what works best for everyone.

Sessions are individualized, if learner wants to work through their school material, please reach out to me to ensure I am prepared for our session. I am also able to provide content for learner if given the topic of concern. Additionally, learner will benefit from a quiet, focus oriented working space. Pencil, highlighter, different colored pens or pencils are recommended.
