Over the span of 3 days, students will participate in completing a practice NYC Regents exam. During our first session, I will read aloud the required text and instruct students and how to use context clues to answer multiple-choice questions. During our second session, I will inform students about the standard structure of a short answer response needed for the second part of the exam. I will then read the texts aloud and have students verbally express their ideas before putting them onto paper. On day three, we complete the most important part of the exam which is the constructed response and worth double points. I will read the text aloud and guide students to complete their responses according to the required standard structure.
