In this class, students will learn a method to write more descriptive sentences. The class will briefly review parts of speech, including nouns, verbs, adjectives, and adverbs. We will use these parts of speech to learn how to expand a short no-frills sentence into a more complex sentence, using a systematic kid friendly way that produces great results every time. The last week will focus on paragraph writing. This class is most appropriate for kids in 3rd-5th grades, who can write using...
Students will improve their ability to write complex sentences and full paragraphs. Students will begin to feel comfortable sharing work with teachers and peers, and begin to develop an ability to hear/read constructive feedback on their writing.
