This class is aimed at children aged 6 - 9 years. The dance steps are suitable for both beginners and those with a little experience. Students will learn an easy Musical Theatre Dance to 'We Don't Talk About Bruno' from 'Encanto'.
I have been teaching dance and musical theatre for 25 years. I am a qualified professional dance teacher with the NCDTA and IDTA (U.K.) I have taught all ages from young to adult; also training other teachers. I am currently the Children's Program Director of a Dance Studio in the USA. I also teach Speech, Drama and Music holding a B.A.(Hons) Drama/Theatre & Music (London). I have directed many youth Musical Theatre productions including High School Musical, Grease, The Little Mermaid, Thoroughly Modern Millie, Beauty and The Beast, The Wizard of Oz and Hairspray. Several of my former pupils are now Professional Performers working around the world including in London's West End and on Cruise Ships. I have also entered many children for both 'Speech and Drama' and 'Musical Theatre' examinations, consistently gaining high results. I am excited to be able to offer Musical Theatre training to children around the world on Outschool.
Parental Guidance:- Please ensure children have enough space to move around and remove anything they may bump into or knock down (e.g. your expensive vase!). Class Attire:- Please wear appropriate free-moving clothes e.g. tee-shirt with leggings, leotard and wear either jazz/ballet dance shoes or bare-feet (not socks) so they do not slip during the class. Fitness:- Your child should be in a fit and healthy state. Please check with your doctor if you have any concerns. Technical Requirements:- Please check that your Zoom App is updated as this can cause issues with the sound quality in class.
