수업 소개
Emphasis will be on recognizing and applying the differences between horizontal, vertical, and slanted lines in sketches and from their related equations. Familiarity with slope, midpoint, and distance formulas is necessary, but these concepts will be briefly reviewed. Students should have proficiency in manipulating algebraic terms and simplifying expressions. A number of sample problems of various types will be demonstrated by the teacher, completed with the teacher and student input, and completed individually by the students.

The primary emphasis will be on developing proficiency in interpreting the graphs of lines from the corresponding related equations and vice versa. Examination of the relationship between parallel and perpendicular lines and their equations will also be included.
