Over the course of 4 sessions, students will learn the basics of crocheting. They will learn how to make single and double stitches, how to make straight stitches and how to do crocheting in the round. In the first 2 sessions, students will learn how to begin their work, and learn how to make single crochet stitches, and if all students grasp this, we will move on to double stitches. Students will learn to master the foundational stitches required in most basic crochet patterns. All students will complete at least 2 pieces by the end.
Crochet hooks - any size will do, although 5mm is a good starting size. Yarn - no dark colours to begin with as it can be difficult to see the stitches at first.
