초보 일본어: 소개와 가타카나로 이름 쓰는 법 배우기

In this one time course, beginner Japanese learners will discover the absolute essentials.  Class will be focused on teaching greetings, self introductions and basic pronunciation skills.  Each student will also have the opportunity to see their name written and spoken in Japanese and to practice writing it!

They will learn the following equivalent phrases in Japanese:
Hello, Good Morning/Evening
Nice to meet you + standard polite phrase when meeting someone 
My name is …

If time allows, additional phrases will be taught.  Students will be provided with printable review page to help them review.  Students will be instructed on how to write their names as well as given a short introduction to appropriate “stroke order” of Japanese Katakana.  The teacher will also use a remote camera to model writing.  Students may use a dark black pen on paper or a small whiteboard if they’d like.  This will allow the teacher to see their work more clearly and offer suggestions.

If your learner’s preferred calling name is different than is what is displayed on their profile, please message the teacher with the name they’d like to learn to write a minimum of two hours before class or at the time of enrolment if they are joining last minute. 

Knowledge of Japanese is not needed!  A desire to learn basic Japanese and an ability to write basic words in the learners native language will be enough to qualify them to take this class.  Learners will enjoy this hands on Japanese language class and feel confident introducing themselves to a new Japanese friend in the future!
