Explore with me, the fantastic story of how archeologists discovered one of the oldest board games known today. This true tale of discovery is a fun introduction to archeology and ancient history. Learning about the discovery of a game we can still play today brings history to life, and gives us a real, tangible connection to history. We will discuss some basic facts about archeology, and then we will focus on studying the specific archeological dig in which several board games were...
Students will gain an introductory knowledge of archeology. Students will become familiar with a specific archeological expedition, and what those scientists learned about ancient Mesopotamia. Students will also practice their art while working with polymer clay, and embellishing their own gameboard.
