What will be taught? Animal adaptions! We will look at real photos, conduct experiments, and discuss how animals adapt and protect themselves. Each week will have a different focus. I work as a part time employee at an AZA accredited zoo and have for nearly 5 years.
Supplies are not required, but they do allow your student to follow along with some of the activities and experiments. Week 1: tongs, spoon, scissors, disposable straw, paper and pencil Week 2: bowl of water, toilet paper tube, coffee grounds or pepper Week 3: bowl of ice water, small bag of crisco taped shut (to mimic blubber, this is optional) Week 4: small piece of slime (optional), toilet paper/paper towel tube, scissors, string, tape
