In this fun-filled one-time class, we will learn all about hurricanes. Our class will go as follows: 1. Whirlwind Word Warm Up (5 minutes): As a warm up, we will go through key vocabulary words/pictures related to hurricanes. This will help gauge your learner's knowledge. 2. All About Hurricanes (15 minutes): We will review how hurricanes are formed, the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane scale, shocking records that hurricanes hold. We will also look at media of memorable hurricanes. 3. 5 Fun Facts about Hurricanes & Windy Wrap Up (10 minutes): We will complete a fun team game on what we learned during our class together as well as go through 5 fun facts about hurricanes. Everyone will receive "5 Fun Facts about Hurricanes" along with a certificate of achievement.
