Homework
Most of the work will be completed in class. I will ask that uncompleted pages be completed with a parent or older sibling's help. Completing all the pages will help the student best understand the material.
Assessment
Each unit has a unit review page that parents are welcome to use as a test. If your state promotes keeping a homeschooling portfolio, you may want to consider tearing these pages out to keep with other tests.
Grading
Grades are provided upon request.

This weekly class uses the Science Fusion curriculum and follows the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) to guide engaging, age-appropriate science lessons — all without the need for extra prep or materials at home.

This class is ideal for:

Each week, learners will explore a new science topic using a variety of tools such as slides, visuals, short videos, and discussion. Lessons are interactive and structured, with plenty of time to check for understanding — but without tests or worksheets.

There is a write-in student edition book of Science Fusion, that you may purchase for your child. I have acquired permission from Houghton Mifflin Harcourt to use Science Fusion, Grade 2, for use in my online Outschool class. We will cover all of the pages in the book, except the Inquiry Flipchart pages.

This class is appropriate for English levels CEFR: A2, B1.

High School Spanish Tutor 1-on-1 Tutoring Language Classes:

One-on-one Spanish classes are ideal to work at the student’s pace and build confidence. What is your student currently learning in Spanish class? What do they need help with? What questions do they have? 

Classes are 30 minutes or 45 minutes

Education Background:
I have a bachelors degree in Counseling Psychology, a Post-Baccalaureate in Early Childhood Education, followed by a Masters Degree in TESOL from Michigan State University. I have taught students of all ages from toddlers to adults. My classes are characterized by being dynamic with music, reading, and talking. 

ESL - EFL English as a Second Language Classes:

I teach beginner, intermediate, and advanced English classes. Lessons can be about books, specific grammar questions / exercises. I also teach advanced conversation classes. These classes start out with a prompt or theme followed by questions to guide the conversation. Learners are welcome to share their ideas, ask questions, and interact with other learners. 

Classes are 25 minutes. 

I am here to support, encourage, and motivate your learners in their language learning journey!
