I'm so excited to offer this writing lab as a safe place to explore and discuss varied topics that will encourage your writer. Writing can be daunting, boring, unecessary or 'long', in the words of may children. This awesome lab is for learners who perhaps love writing but don't know how to get idea's from brain to paper. Or writers that are less that enthusiastic, but given the right topic will start engaging and coming up with brilliant idea's. The lab is also for learners who already love reading and writing, but perhaps want additional writing practise. I'm a fully qualified English Language and Literature Certified Teacher. Classes will be fun, yet structured. Classes use a range of creative writing prompts, examples, and model answers. Class are Q & A led, I encourage learner's to share if they are comfortable, if not learners can share their work privately for feedback. I welcome all learners to submit their work for hints and tips. Everyone is welcome. The class will have a different theme and topic each week, which can be chosen by students. A sample ongoing program would be: Week 1 07/09/2022 - Theme 1 - All about you - A Poem entitled 'I am'. Week 2 14/09/2022 - Theme 2 - The Journey of A Button - A Wonderful First Person Piece of Fiction Week 3 21/09/2022 - Theme 3 - A Persuasive Essay and Language Features (AFORREST) Week 4 30/09/2022 - Theme 4 - Descriptive Writing - Using Figurative Language, Similes, Metaphors and Personification. Week 5 07/10/2022 - Theme 5 - A Journey In Time - Let's Explore the Past or Future. Week 6 14/10/2022 - Theme 6 - Simple, Complex, and Compound Sentences - A Nonsense Run On Story with puncuation. Please note the class theme's will rotate, yet the content will change for each cycle. Classes also do not build on previous classes and learns can drop in and drop out as they like.

Hello and thank you for stopping by to find out a little more about me, although I am more interested in you! I am from London and live in Buckinghamshire in a rural countryside setting. I love the peace and tranquillity of nature and the outdoors.
I have always had a passion for English, ever since I was a little girl and a fantastic teacher inspired me to read and imagine that anything was possible. Fast forward many years, that dream of becoming an English teacher turned into reality for that little girl that spent hours reading and imagining different worlds.
I graduated from Birkbeck University in London, having taken a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature. I studied everything from Shakespeare through to early 18th Century American Literature. I literally found my calling, I then went to achieve my PGCE equivalent Cert Ed in Education, where I qualified to teach young people aged 14+. In addition to this, I have been a private tutor for children ages 7+ for nearly a decade.
I love working across all age groups, as my approach to learning is both flexible and creative.
The most rewarding thing about my work, is my ability to connect with young people that do not believe in themselves. Teaching English, whether coaching to pass exams, or simply to improve written work or read for meaning, or to develop a hunger for exploring texts, is seeing ‘the moment’, the young person connects with what they are trying to achieve.
So, when I am not teaching, I love to walk my 2 dogs, cook or binge watch TV on Netflix.
If there is not something I offer, please just ask, and I will happily VA VA VOOM it up for you.
