このクラスで学べること
This class is tailored to the needs of your student for subject areas of English (reading, writing, spelling, phonics, etc...), Math, and English as a Second Language. My intention with this class is to engage the student with the content through interests and real world applications to maximize learning. This may look like reading a passage about football or doing story problems about baking.
I ask that parents share areas and skills they would like their student to work on. I add in additional skills that need to be covered as I continue to work with the student.
I use various assessments to help gauge as student's initial level or progress made. These assessments I have used in my career as a teacher.
Some examples of these are listed below:
Reading (as a whole): DRA (Diagnostic Reading Assessment)
Phonics: Fundations curriculum based assessments, PAST (Phonological Awareness
Screening Test), Core Phonics Survey, San Diego Quick Assessment
Math: Number Sense Survey, standards based assessments (teacher-created), Ohio
Diagnostic Assessments, National Center for Intensive Intervention Assessments
I do offer a sibling discount of 1/2 off for that child off if the sibling is attending the same class. Please inquire about this option as I will need to create a private class link for you.学習到達目標

The supply list will depend on the subject area and skills that the student will be working on. Supplies for every class: paper and pencil and/or whiteboard and Expo marker For some class times, there will be handouts, which I will send via Outschool in advance of the class.
