Improve your math skills with skills in Touch Point math! Every number has specific "touchpoints" and when learned, students can add and subtract quickly! This is perfect for a student who you notice is counting on their fingers a lot, or taking a long time to add and subtract.

Day 1-Introduce Touch numbers 1-5 and some simple addition
Day 2-Introduce Touch numbers 6-9 and more addition
Day 3-Review and practice all Touch numbers, introduce subtraction
Day 4-Review and practice everything--and even try some harder math!

The students will need prior knowledge of addition and subtraction--this class is not to teach how to add & subtract, rather, a method of how to do it easily and quickly.

The ability to use the Annotate feature (writing on the Zoom whiteboard) makes the class a lot more fun and engaging for the students, however, using a piece of paper or dry erase board works too!

Students will need paper/pencil or dry erase board/marker, etc. available.
I will provide a pdf of the numbers with the touchpoints for you to print and the students can trace, if desired.
The students will have a chance to write on the screen using the annotate feature of Zoom. They can use the mouse to draw, if you don't have a touch screen.

Hello! I am excited to be your child's teacher. 
I love to teach in any capacity: especially reading, writing and grammar classes. 

Teaching is my passion! I have been teaching for 23 years everything from early childhood to college & adults. Not only have I taught in elementary schools, but I have been homeschooling my children for the past 12 years and working in several homeschool coops as well. For my career, I teach English as a Second Language to adults.

I am very familiar with the ins and outs of the English language, from the basics of phonics & reading to college writing, and everything in between! (Like past participles 😄)  My philosophy of education is that every child can learn! I would love to work with your child and help them succeed!
