新進エンジニアのための STEM クラブ パート 1 (セメスター クラス)

Welcome engineers!  Join us to develop your perseverance and problem solving skills by participating in the engineering design process as we complete a different STEM (STEAM) challenge using various craft supplies and/or materials such as recycled items collected around the house. Some challenges may require specific supplies, and those will be posted in the classroom prior to the start of the live meeting and posted in the class description. Students will learn about and participate in the engineering design process as they complete their challenges. Please keep in mind that depending on the materials and methods chosen, there may not be time to finish the project during the time allotted. All learners of varying abilities and needs are welcome to join.

Week 1 - Gumdrop/Mini Marshmallow and Toothpick Structure (gumdrops or mini marshmallows and toothpicks needed)
Week 2 - Squirrel Zip Line (string or yarn needed)
Week 3 - Marble Coaster (marble needed along with cardboard tubes, pool noodles, plastic or paper cups, or cardboard to cut for roller coaster track )
Week 4 - Catapult (small items to launch)
Week 5 - House to Withstand the Elements (bottle of water and fan needed)
Week 6 - Marble Maze (Shoe box, pizza box, or other flat box)
Week 7 - Protect a Dragon Egg (2-3 eggs, can be hard boiled)
Week 8 - Mars Rover
