Join us in this fun and engaging phonics and beginner Squishmallow reading club where young learners will explore letters and sounds through interactive games, choral chants, movement, and hands-on activities! Each week, we’ll focus on a new set of letters and sounds, using a multi-sensory learning approach to build early reading confidence.

Students will:
✅ Recognize letters and their sounds
✅ Strengthen fine motor skills with tracing, writing letters, simple words and hands-on activities
✅ Develop listening and turn-taking skills through interactive games
✅ Build school readiness skills in a fun, supportive environment


This class is perfect for preschoolers, pre-K, and young kindergarteners who are just beginning their literacy journey. No prior knowledge is required—just a love for learning and having fun!

Class Structure:
📅 Ongoing club – join anytime!
⏳ 25-minute weekly sessions
👧 Small group setting

Class #1: Letters: /a/, /m/, /s/ 
Students will say the letters and their sounds
Students will write the letters while saying each sound that matches
Students will read along for blending and reading simple 3-letter words
Students will hear a simple sentence read to them. They can read along or listen only. 
Students will participate in a fun activity with the Squishmallows to reinforce the phonics skills and have fun! 
(These class activities will be the format for each class.)

Class #2: Letters: /t/, /p/, /f/
**Same format as above.

Class #3: Letters: /i/, /n/, /o/

Class #4: Letters: /d/, /c/, /u/

Class #5: Letters: /g/, /b/, /e/

Class #6 Letters: /k/, /h/, /r/

Class #7 Letters: /l/, /w/, /j/

Class #8 Letters: /y/, /qu/, /v/, /z/

After the Class #8, we will start over and continue to cycle through all of the letters and their sounds. Repetition of letters, sounds and blending to help students learn these skills with automaticity!
