Using a roll-the-die approach, students craft their own "Not-So-Scary Story" by randomly selecting story elements like characters, settings, and conflicts. It's an engaging and fun way to spark a love for writing and nurture creative skills. 

In this class, we focus on Model Writing, a teaching approach where I demonstrate new writing skills to students before they practice them independently. By modeling what I expect from them, I give students a solid starting point and access to the ideas needed to kickstart their writing process. This method enables me to guide students through the steps necessary to produce a polished piece of writing. 

Additionally, students receive individualized feedback on submitted work. I respond 3x a week (MWS). I encourage all students to submit their revised writing for review. This review process allows for personalized feedback, ensuring that each student receives one-on-one support.
