In addition students will develop a simple sketch or drawling or physical model to illustrate the shape of an object and how that object helps to solve a problem. They will design a product used to solve a problem and identify ways that it could be improved through testing and reflecting. They will evaluate how well their invention may or may not work to solve a problem.

The homework from this class will take about an hour a day but it may take longer depending on students reading pace and how in-depth they go with their design projects. Students will be doing reading and designing outside of class.
