In this one-time class, students will review adding fractions with common denominators.  The fractions may or may not have whole numbers as well.  The teacher will demonstrate adding fractions with common denominators and then work problems with the students for practice.  The students will also work problems on their own.  Students should know their addition as well as what fractions are having a history of working with fractions.  Students could do well that have worked with fractions and have a solid understanding of fractions.  Students who know their addition could also do well.  Let's practice adding fractions with like denominators!

Hello everyone!  Welcome to Outschool!  
My name is Ms. Julie and I'm excited to meet you!  I teach Reading, Math, Writing, ESL (English As a Second Language), and other subjects too.  I've been an educator and teaching for over 20 years in both brick-and-mortar and online.  When I'm not teaching, I can often be found tutoring online or in person.  My experience includes working with preschool to high school students with a lot of my experience with elementary and middle school age groups.  I have an elementary education K-6 grade license as well as a math 5-8 license and a K-12 ESL (English As a Second Language) License.  I have taught ESL (English as a Second Language) for many years also.  My masters in reading has been a great resource as well.
Every student can learn and I believe we all learn in different ways.  I love to have fun while learning!  When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time outside with my furry friend or time with family and friends.
