This class is part of a series of classes meant to provide opportunities for students to review and practice math concepts taught in pre-algebra. This is the second class of the series, and focuses on pre-algebra skills that are typically taught in seventh grade math.

Learners should feel comfortable with adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing whole numbers, decimals, fractions and integers independently before enrolling in this class. 

Learners should also bring paper/pencil or something to write with to each class meeting. 

A link to an optional independent practice activity will be posted in the Outschool classroom after each class meeting (usually the next morning). These activities are not required, but are there for learners to practice in between class meetings if they'd like to.

Week 1: Algebraic Vocabulary and Writing Variable Expressions
Week 2: Evaluating Multi-Variable, Absolute Value, and Non-Linear Expressions
Week 3: Simplifying Expressions By Combining Like-Terms and Using the Distributive Property
Week 4: Equivalent Expressions
Week 5: Writing Equations and Identifying Solutions to Equations
Week 6: Solving One-Step and Two-Step Equations
Week 7: Solving Two-Step Equations 
Week 8: Solving and Graphing One-Step Inequalities
Week 9: Solving and Graphing Two-Step Inequalities
Week 10: Two-Variable Equations
